About
As an educator since 2005 and serving as a high school Assistant Principal for the last 13 years, I became an advocate for financial literacy after feeling disheartened by my own gaps in budgeting, retirement and investing well into my adult years. When I realized I could be doing better, I did what all nerds do, and dove headfirst into learning—books, podcasts, videos, everything I could get my hands on to make up for lost time.
Soon, family, friends, teachers, and students requested education to better their financial health. Being raised with a strong community, I knew that knowledge wasn’t just any one’s to possess, especially when it had the power to help others open doors to stability, security, and the freedom to pursue dreams.
Now my educational mission has expanded, and I am convinced that schools have the ability–and the obligation–to inclusively teach concepts of financial health and wealth to our youth.
We all might not have had access to financial wealth growing up, but together we can change that story for the next generation.
Financial Educational Services are my contribution to that mission. It's about contributing to spaces where educators can create, learn, share, and ultimately, rewrite the story around who gets to learn financial literacy.
Most importantly, although not traditionally considered “wealth”, my family passed down the wealth of hard work, humor, Puerto Rican pride, perseverance, and empathy towards others. I believe in creating educational spaces that value the various types of riches and abundance that our ancestors have passed down to us, in tandem with building financial wealth for our descendants.
Join me on my journey to empower the next generation one wealth building story at a time.
Pa’lante.
